Section 705 Federal Credit Union began in 1968, originally in Crowley, Louisiana led by a group of Postal Employees seeking to fill a void in their financial affairs. This group charted Section 705 FCU to serve postal employees in the 705 zip code area. However, through the years this charter was expanded to include federal government employees in the same area. 

 

As time progressed, our small office, once located in the Federal Building had evolved into an off-site building boasting space of over 5000 square feet. Section 705 FCU is a full service financial institution that over the years have come to offer a variety of financial products and services for the full benefit of the membership. Our facility includes a full service drive-thru along with a friendly and knowledgeable nine employee staff. 

 

As of January 2007, we stand at over 3,000 members strong, rated a 5-star credit union,  and is considered one of the strongest financial institutions in the country. We have since added additional selective employee groups; which is a direct correlation to our strong sense of service and loyalty to our membership. From checking and share (savings) accounts to a wide variety of loan products and benefits, Section 705 has proven to be an effective competitor in the financial market.
